Thursday, November 9, 2017 session at the JICC Conference Room

The turnout witnessed was large just as it was last Tuesday and given the fact that the 'dojo' is not that big, it had to be 'divided' into two with James Kohai taking charge of the more advanced aikidoka, while the newcomers went through the paces learning the basics of Ukemi as well as Kamae, Tsugi Ashi and the stances.

Most of the newcomers have never practised martial arts before and need a lot of guidance especially when it entails dojo etiquette and hopefully we shall manage to accomodate them in our club.

A reminder on the upcoming Japanese cultural festival scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the Japan embassy, Nairobi (see poster below):
