At Goan Gymkhana

We mainly concentrated on various forms of shiho-nage.
First was ryote-dori shiho-nage ura. There are two forms of this; one where both arms are raised and the other where only one arm is raised. Then in quick succession we reviewed yokomen-uchi shiho-nage and gyaku-hanmi shiho-nage ura. We then did ai-hanmi shiho-nage ura. The last technique was gyaku-hanmi uchi-kaiten-nage omote.
As usual the second hour was dedicated to bokken practice (or ken jutsu, kumidachi or sotai renshu, depending on the school). Once again we were shown how to execute the vertical cut (kirisage) both from kibadachi kamae and migi kamae. Then there was this technique that involves a stab to the stomach that was really cool coz of the way one has to counter using barai, but due to time we did not get to understand it fully. Maybe next time.
