The first session of 2016 kicked off with a bang since we had four new faces three of whom are first timers and the fourth one actually joined Aikido around the same time I first joined Nairobi Aikikai but left after about one month or so to attend to other duties but who is now back.
Toshiyuki San guided us through the warm up session which was followed by an intense Ukemi practise session featuring Mae and Ushiro Ukemi from both Suwari Waza (for the newcomers) and Tachi Waza (for the more experienced Aikidoka).
The rest of the session featured the following attacks/techniques:
-Tai no Tenkan Ho.
-Katatedori Kokyu Ho and Kokyu Nage respectively.
-Shomen Uchi Ikkyo Omote and Ura respectively.
-Katatedori Shiho Nage Omote and Ura respectively.
-Zagi Kokyu Ho.
The session wrapped up with Haishin Undo.
