Thursday, June 30, 2016 session at the Titanium Fitness gym, Victoria Plaza, Westlands

Only four of us were present for the day's session and that meant that it would be more intense than usual and boy did we sweat!

The warm up session was brief followed by a round of 'free style' Ukemi from Tachi Waza.

Ben Sempai focused on Morote dori and guided us through the following (all from the static Morote dori stance):

TACHI WAZA:

-Nikyo Omote and Ura respectively (two versions).

-Irimi Nage Omote.

-Kote Gaeshi Omote.

-Ude Kime Nage.

-Juji Nage Omote.

SUWARI WAZA:

-Zagi Kokyu Ho.

A few stretching exercises as well as Haishin Undo wrapped up the session.

NEXT SESSION: TUESDAY, JULY 5, 2016 AT THE SAME VENUE

Hello. I have 2 questions. Is it free to attend these lessons as well or is there a fee since it is away from the embassy? Also, how did you get your hands on a gi and at what cost? I have been trying to find time to join this class. I think I finally do.

The sessions are Kshs. 300 per session at the Titanium Fitness gym in Westlands. You can check whether they have keikogi at Nairobi Sports House, cost of which will depend on availability and size of said keikogi.
